The FrostControl is a non-electric overpressure safety and drain valve with an integrated frost protection function. It can be used as an accessory for Truma water heaters (boiler or Combi) as well as for permanently installed water tanks in caravans and motorhomes. Additionally, it is suitable as a replacement part for the FrostControl included with Truma Combi devices, depending on the scope of delivery.
The FrostControl is designed for all pressure and immersion pumps up to 2.8 bar.
Function:
Overpressure safety valve: in the event of overpressure up to a maximum of 4.5 bar (e.g. when heating the boiler), the FrostControl opens automatically and releases the pressure in bursts through a drain outlet to the outside.
Manual drain valve: for draining, the valve can be opened manually to empty the water content.
Frost protection: in case of frost risk (ambient temperature approx. 3 °C), the FrostControl opens automatically and drains the boiler through the drain outlet to the outside. From around 7 °C ambient temperature, the drain valve can be manually closed again and the boiler refilled.
The drain valve is an original Truma spare part. Please check the manufacturer’s part number.
