Thule Awning AdapterAdapters are divided into 2 categories and 3 vehicle groups. To choose the right adapter, one must determine whether the awning is to be mounted on the vehicle’s side wall with a wall adapter or as a roof awning, mounted horizontally on the vehicle’s roof with a roof adapter.Additionally, the available adapters are designed to fit either specific vehicle groups or even individual vehicle models. The vehicle groups are divided into campers/caravans, motorhomes and campervans/vans.The mounting of adapters should be carried out by a specialised company. This company can also determine precisely how and where the adapter should be mounted. This helps to prevent problems that may arise later if you wish to add additional awning components.Awning adapters should always be mounted behind the articulated arm fixation as this prevents the awning from potentially bending.
