The new portable 4G / WiFi Internet system Roam Basecamp is a flexible and compact solution for data reception. In conventional installations, the router and antenna are 2 separate components – Roam Basecamp combines the antenna and router in a weatherproof housing. The system can be mounted on a mast or tripod (item no. 72 361, see catalogue page 853) and flexibly positioned next to the vehicle, for example. When positioned outside the vehicle, reception is good thanks to the built-in omnidirectional antennas, and no separate alignment is necessary. Furthermore, no signal is weakened by long cable runs. The Roam Basecamp is ideal for applications that only require temporary installation, such as outdoor shows, fast food trailers or mobile offices. For camping vehicles, we recommend installing a designated external socket (item no. 71 457, see catalogue page 857). The antenna and router are powered via Power over Ethernet (PoE), and there are no restrictions on cable length.
