The flexible LED strap, which has a 3M adhesive tape on its back, spreads warm light underneath the awning. Fitted with 60 LEDs per metre, it can be easily cut every 5 cm, making it suitable for all awning lengths. The LED strap is waterproof and suitable for outdoor use, it can be simply adhered to the bottom of the awning case and connected to the on-board power system. Available in 3 heights, medium height is required for an installation height of 2.3 – 2.44 m (measured from the bottom edge of the awning cassette to the ground), large height for an installation height of 2.45 – 2.59 m and extra-large height for 2.6 – 2.74 m. Delivery includes 2 packing bags and mud flap.Front panel designDepending on the awning length, the design of the front panel varies without compromising on brightness or comfort. Wide front panels and slimmer spacers are combined. The large panoramic windows can be rolled up vertically and used as a door or also removed entirely. Opened horizontally, they let some fresh air in.

A lightweight protective tent which, thanks to its tried-and-tested, patented design, can be set up particularly easily and quickly directly beneath the awning. The entire tent is made in one piece and requires no additional poles. For roof mounting, either an existing awning rail or an optional mounting kit is used; for wall mounting, an optional mounting kit is also required. The front section is secured in the awning’s channel rail. With its elegant, timeless design, the Thule QuickFit complements all awning colours and is fitted with integrated curtains on all windows. The arched canopy, tensioned by quick-fit fibreglass poles, provides additional shade over the large panoramic windows at the front, which can be opened fully. The side windows are fitted with fly screens. Access is possible from both the left and right sides of the front. The air layer created by the double roof between the awning and the tent provides good insulation to keep the tent cool. Made from robust ripstop polyester, a lightweight, waterproof fabric made from tear-resistant material used in aerospace engineering. Supplied complete with groundsheet, guy ropes and carry bag.

The approved awning tent Safari Residence consists of 2 single side panels and one front panel in neutral colour (RAL 9002). The window foils integrated in the side panels are equipped with mosquito nets and can be opened completely. The front panel (length up from 3.5 m) has a door on the left and on the right side and can be rolled up partly or completely. Due to the integrated fixation rail the front can be combined very comfortably e. g. with a Sun Blocker (see p. 130). By means of a clamping profile, the side panels are connected to the awning fabric. Front and sides are connected by a double piping profile – a strong and wind resistant connection. A height adjustable mast profile equipped with double rubber sealing, into which the side panels piping profile is slid in, is pressed to the vehicles side and perfectly seals this section. Additional stability is achieved by a diagonal support between the clamping and the mast profile. Thule Residence G3 is available in 6 different heights (see table) for vehicles with straight sides. In case of an awning series 5003, 5200 and 8000 mounted straight above the vehicles entrance, particular side panels for combination with higher front section with less roof pitch can be ordered via special order. All special orders have approx. 4 – 6 weeks delivery time. Delivery includes transport bags and mud flap.
